CND Shellac is a professional gel polish system renowned for its flawless colour, high shine, and long-lasting performance. Developed to meet the demands of professional nail technicians, the advanced formula applies smoothly and evenly, creating a thin, lightweight finish with a refined, salon-quality appearance.
Introduced in 2010, CND Shellac was one of the first professional gel polish systems to transform the nail industry. It helped define a new category by combining the durability of gel with the elegant look of traditional nail lacquer, setting a new benchmark for professional colour performance.
Since its launch, CND Shellac has continuously evolved in response to changing manicure techniques, fashion influences, and colour trends. The formula, bottle design, and brush have been refined over time to support improved precision, controlled application, and consistent colour payoff. These updates reflect ongoing innovation and a commitment to meeting modern professional standards.
CND Shellac colour collections are developed in line with the latest fashion, beauty, and seasonal trends. Each collection introduces carefully curated shades, from modern neutrals and timeless classics to bold, expressive tones. New colours are released consistently across professional nail systems, ensuring trend continuity between gel and lacquer formats.
Designed for professional environments, CND Shellac delivers reliable adhesion, vibrant colour intensity, and a polished finish that remains visually refined throughout wear, making it an essential system for creating contemporary, trend-led manicures.

1. Preparation and base coat

Clean and thoroughly dry the natural nails. Gently push back cuticles, shape the nails, and remove surface oils using a suitable nail cleanser.
Apply a thin layer of CND Shellac Base Coat and cure under a UV/LED lamp according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Colour
Apply a thin, even layer of CND Shellac Color Coat and cure.
Repeat with a second thin layer if needed, curing each layer separately to achieve full, even colour coverage.
3. Top coat and finish
Apply CND Shellac Top Coat and cure to seal the colour. The top coat enhances shine, locks in colour for extended wear, and helps protect against fading or colour changes caused by UV exposure.
If required, remove the tacky layer and allow the nails to cool for a flawless, long-lasting result.
How to remove CND Shellac

Gently break the top coat seal using a fine nail file or buffer.
Soak cotton pads with CND Shellac Remover or acetone and place them on the nails.
Wrap each nail securely with foil or removal wraps and allow to soak for approximately 10–15 minutes.
Carefully remove the wraps and gently push off the softened product using an orangewood stick or pusher.
Lightly buff if needed and finish by applying cuticle oil to rehydrate the nails and surrounding skin.
